Emily Duncan

Emily is the founder of Emily Duncan Consulting, dedicated to helping individuals and organizations reach new levels of success. She is a visionary leader, organizational effectiveness consultant, coach, diversity and inclusion expert, trainer, motivational speaker and community leader. She also serves as a contributing author and thought-leader at the Global Dialogue Center, a virtual gathering place for people throughout the world with a focus on leadership, personal and professional development as a catalyst for creating a better world than we know today.

She is former Vice President of Culture and Diversity for Hewlett Packard (HP) Company. Through an ongoing collaborative partnership with employees and fostering management leadership across HP, Emily earned the distinction of being a visionary catalyst for many of HP’s pioneering diversity and culture firsts. Her contributions include leading the worldwide initiative that defined and published the first set of HP’s Business Reasons for Diversity and Inclusion, developing an Accountability Framework for Managers, opening the way for HP to be one of the first companies to offer Partner Benefits and expanding HP’s diversity initiative to every region across the world. She lead a wide range of companywide programs and initiatives to create and maintain a diverse, inclusive work environment with a focus on expanding employee engagement and involvement at all levels. Before joining HP, Emily had a rewarding leadership career with the U. S. Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contract Compliance. In this role, she worked with Fortune 500 executives and managers in Washington D.C., Los Angeles and San Francisco to build workplaces that were diverse, inclusive and free of discrimination and harassment.

Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. She has also completed the professional coaching program at New Ventures West in San Francisco, California.
